My cat's eating the bed!

And the award for the strangest thread title goes to...

Seriously though, our 10 month old ginger tom has started a very strange habit. He's started licking and chewing our bed base. I'm not sure whether he is doing it purely for entertainment, or whether he is missing some nutrients in his diet (although what nutrition he can gain from a bed base is beyond me...

)

Any ideas?
