Does anyone have a Modkat? If so, did you purchase it from Zooplus?

I ordered one around 2 weeks ago, when it arrived, the top was damaged around the circumference of the entrance, the edge was really badly finished and it was very rough to the touch. I contacted Zooplus who offered me a pathetic discount which I refused and asked for an exchange. Well the new one arrived today and it's pretty much the same as the first one Appalling quality for such a high priced item.

If anyone has a Modkat, was it damaged on arrival, or badly finished off like mine? If so, did the supplier (ie Zooplus) offer a decent discount?

I have one and got it from zooplus. I cant fault mine, yes its expensive for a plastic bin lol but it has no rough edges or anything like that!! Hope that helps

Do you have a picture I know someone who has one so I've seen them

I also have one ordered from Zooplus and mine is really well finished and certainly no rough edges, perhaps it is a faulty batch? or they sent back the same one? I wouldn't accept anything other than perfection at that price!!!

Thanks for your replies. You're probably right about the faulty batch as ZP didn't send the first one back in replacement as I still have both of the faulty ones here awaiting collection

Out of interest, what colour did you order? (just so that I know which one to avoid for the moment....)

I ordered the white one (and the faulty replacement is white too). It's more of an off white though, not stark white. It's very nice, except for the damage

we have two (red) and (blue) and they came in TC condition, hopefully if you're getting the replacement, will be okay. Have you thought of contacting MODKAT themselves for purpose of customer feedback, they might throw in some complimentary liners, you never know. Also is in their interest they take the issue seriously especially with faulty finish.
