Question Sick Cat

Hi,

I'd be grateful for your thoughts or advice.

Our siamese cat is now 6 months old and for the first few months we fed him Hi Life 60%. For the past 3 months everyday we feed him Natures Own and a small tin of Applaws, plus Royal Canin odour reduction biscuits.

But every couple of weeks he's sick. (The vet says he's healthy)

He just literally spews up once and is then fine. Last week he was sick, and this morning he had his breakfast (Natures Own with some biscuits), he seemed fine, I took the children to school and when I came home, there was either dark brown sick, or dark brown diorrhea, (I really couldn't make out which), all over the tiled floor.

Do you think it could be the food he's eating? This was recommended by the vet and by the breeder.

Re: Sick Cat

Siamese puke a lot. I have 3, they like to eat fast and not chew and it just comes back up. Mine had the RC Siamese biscuits. It did reduce it. I wouldn't worry, just maybe reduce portion size and feed more often? Mine tend to do it more first thing in the morning. I don't feed them until they've had a good 1/2 hr run around. Let their tummy wake up

Re: Sick Cat

One of our moggies given the opportunity will gulp down a load of food then just spew it back up! It's like he doesn't have an off switch that tells him when he's full and needs to stop eating. Try smaller portions more often through the day.

Re: Sick Cat

Thanks very much for the advice. I'll try not feeding him straight away and smaller portions.
