Re: It's all a bit nice lately....

It's been quite nice All the cat people getting along No one's joined and ruined the peace and quiet by posting silly "I don't want my cat" threads and no ones started the Indoor/Outdoor debates.

We've had truck loads of pics especially of the gorgeous Merson, meeko and Louie Lots of coloured cat threads for us all to show off our babies....

All in all its looking like a good end to the year

Re: It's all a bit nice lately....

Funny, I was thinking the same but didn't want to tempt fate by saying anything.

It has been very warm and cuddly around here lately - everyone has been very supportive of those in need and understanding of those needing better advice for their cats health and welfare.

Long may it continue because, when it's like this, there is no better forum to be on!!!!

We really ARE the best!!!!

I don't know - I find it a little "dead" recently. So, perhaps people's feeling of niceness is just because people have stopped posting...

I would have to disagree - in the nicest possible way of course.

I think it has been very busy around here over the last few weeks and there have been lots of new threads and lots of new members.

In fact, there are many threads I've not been able to read because there were too many to get to them all.

And I have to disagree with you - in the nicest possible way too, of course!

True, there have been many new threads (and a couple of posters have been responsible for a lot of them ) but to me it is not the volume of new threads that matters but how interesting they are .... And I do find it very sad that a lot of the oldies appear to have thrown in the towel and seem to have stopped contributing. There is a lot of great knowledge now missing from here because they either haven't been on (for one reason or another) or because they have been banned for being outspoken.

BTW, have you noticed how dead health and nutrition has been recently. Really quite sad.

Anyhow, I am sure someone will post a thread soon with pics to coo over...

I have noticed that some long term contributors have been quieter of late but have put that down to the time of year. There hasn't been any spats or rucks for them to have gone off.

Also, maybe newer members (myself for example), who have learned at the knees of some older members, are now imparting the knowledge that we have learned from them. So the knowledge is still here but from a different poster than before. For example, thanks to your own wise & many contributions on proper feeding, and advice on quality foods, more of us can now answer the questions, that once we couldn't, about feeding good nutritional brands. This does not detract from either your posts, or the forum, but actually adds to the greater knowledge of the forum and means that there is always someone in a position to help or assist.

I know you didn't mean this to be funny but acutally, it rather is.

Light-hearted threads, and piccies to 'coo over' are just as important as being all serious and intellectual. The forum is for fun as well as help and advice. It's what keeps most of us coming back.

Hopefully, a quiet Health and Nutrition section means that everyone's kitties are healthy and well-fed
