Kittens have found a new game to play!!!

The kittens have found this new game to play - they love it, unfortunately though, I hate it

If they could speak, they would call it 'water water everywhere'

I always like to make sure that, if they want a drink of water, then there is always one close by. So, I don't just have a bowl of water next to their food, I have one in a few different rooms.

Well one of the kittens has decided that it is great fun to start to have a drink and, while drinking, start to like dig with front paws, resulting in dish of water being tipped up. And, it is amazing just how much water there seems to be once it is out of the dish - never been through so much kitchen roll in my life

Now I don't want to have to remove all of these dishes of water, but am not liking this water game at all

Any ideas what to do or is there anything behind this sort of digging action with front paws? I know that cats bury food in the wild for a later meal, but have never heard of it with the water.

haha cheeky little monster! Have you tried those spill-proof bowls, intended for dogs while travelling? They do one called a Road Refresher, it has velcro on the bottom & a floating plate thing with holes in that goes on top of the water so he can't get his little paws in there to 'dig' at the water
