Mine does this too, with the living room doorstop!! So he needs a litter tray and drinking water in there AND one in the kitchen... Ever since his first morning, he's been convinced that the doorstop is a mousey............

I don't know who to blame for locking Ari in the bedroom: I use Ari's wine corks (she has dozens of them around the house) to block the doors... and she just wanted it back to play. But she was the one who first stuck a cork at the door hinge and gave me the idea of using them as door stoppers!!

You've given me an idea: making door stoppers in mouse shapes (won't be much effective but will be a great fun!)

Re: Any household tips for a new kitten slave..?

stuff towels down all wide but small gaps (confusing i know)
get food, water litter (and tray)
close off the fireplace
choose what room he starts off in
get rid of everything small or chockable on benches/floor
and sweep just saying coz my leo when i bought him home played with anything on the floor
