Example: On Saturday night, I nearly had a nasty accident with a kettle of boiling water - knocked it flying onto the kitchen floor!!!! Treacle was by the back door, just a couple of feet from where the water was spilled, but he immediately leapt up and flew across the furniture at a great height and speed, bypassing the affected area and took refuge on a high spot in the living room...!!! I frantically went to find him to check he had no burns on his paws (thankfully he didn't!), but I realised how much worse it would've been if I'd had a baby or toddler sitting on the floor instead of a kitten....... unable to escape, it would've burned all over the kid's legs!!!!!!
