kitten food

do you use it or not ?
i read somewhere on this forum that its not neccersary so i bought the adult food . the breeder said that whilst she had given them kitten food they also were eating the adult food and seemed to prefer it .
she is eating the food but of course im being neurotic and have no idea how much she should be eating . ive just been keeping a bowl in her crate so she has it available at all times.

Re: kitten food

It depends on the quality - what brand are you feeding? It it's a god brand as in more than 60% meat then you are probably fine - if it's Whiskas or Felix type stuff then kitten food would be slightly better than adult.

Re: kitten food

We kept Max on his Whiskas kitten food that the woman had him on before, now he is on Bozita which isn't a kitten food. We feed him little and often to be honest as he is still small (we were told he was 14/15 weeks this week, vet think hes 4 weeks younger)

At first we used to fill a bowl up of wet, however Max would throw up his food because it was too much for him so now its only a tablespoon or two he gets at a time. In a day he'd eat half or most the tin of Bozita.
