Not burying his mess

Has anyone else had this problem - we have a six month old kitten and he uses his tray, but does not bury his mess. Is this a re-training issue or is it common,

Re: Not burying his mess

Its really common. Some cats cover their mess and others don't. I don't think its got anything to do with bad toilet training its just what they do. I have two kittens one covers and one doesn't.

same here, one covers, the other doesn't, i also thought it was odd, but as long as they do it in the tray i really don't mind lol

I dont watch mine, I have 2 trays and 3 cats, and poos are always covered, but I dont know if they do their own, or one of the others does it for them!!

Re: Not burying his mess

I herd the dominant cat wont cover his. but lower ranking cats in a household will dont know how much truth is in that.
