Do I continue using Feliway?

Up until recently Oscar was having an "accident" on the sofa every 2/3 weeks.

After having him checked for a UTI - which was clear - I decided to try a combination of a Feliway plug and Cystaid.

Its now been 5 weeks and no more accidents

Now, I'm guessing its more the Cystaid than the Feliway that has helped, but of course I can't be sure. The Feliway is getting low and I don't know whether to get a new refil or just stop the Feliway (he's on a Cystaid every other day for maintenance).

Does anyone else use Feliway on a continuing basis???

Hi DB

I have to say that I can't see a change in him since its been plugged in, but not sure whether you would see much of a change (may be if I had a multi cat house I would). He's not really a stressy cat per se ... in fact he's laid out full stretch on the sofa as I type

I've found the refils for £12 so for the sake of £12 and him peeing of sofa its a small price to pay.

Re: Do I continue using Feliway?

I can tell when it runs out, too....
Or when the cleaning lady has forgotten to put it back in after hoovering....

There have been times when I didn't need it, but then something would happen. like fireworks season or the street being repaved, or a new cat joining our clowder, and it would be needed again.

We have a boisterous youngster in the group, and the fireworks are going off about every evening till early next year, I fear, so I have one in permanently, now.

But just let it go for a bit, and see if you notice any difference when it runs out. If you don't, that is proof you don't need it for now. If you do notice a change, buy a refill.
