Bandit's constant purr (videos)

After being here now for 2 days Bandit is settilng in well, but I am just a little bit concerned that she is purring almost constantly. I know most people would say that's a good thing, but she really is doing it a lot.
I took a couple of videos tonight (not great quality) it was more to demonstrate her doing it.
She's eating well & drinking her water as well & using the litter tray all absolutely fine and she's found a nice spot on the sofa where she settles to sleep. She's very affectionate and loves being stroked. She doesn't seem stressed and she's now found out that my shoelaces are good fun to play with so she's found a new game to play as well.

Would you say this is normal, I've googled that some cats purr a lot more than others?

Re: Bandit's constant purr (videos)

I have read somewhere that cats can purr to comfort themselves if they are in pain.
Bandit doesnt seem in pain or distressed to me (I am no expert though)

Willow will only purr after fussing has been going on for sometime, then she is in full soppy, dribbly purring mode.

Holly and Rowan on the other hand I only have to stop next to them and they are purring, even if they are asleep and I stop and talk to them they purr instantly - so all cats are different

Non of my cats purred like that, but she looks healthy, eating and drinking and moves around so all the normal things seem okay. Maybe bandit is such a happy cat

Rosie did nothing but purr constantly for the first week! So much so I think it gave her a sore throat, she was constantly swallowing as if it was sore! I put it down to the stress of being in new surroundings! She still purrs a lot but not as much

Our family cat Toebe (RIP) used to purr like that all the time especially if he wanted attention. She doesn't looked distress so I reckon she must be just a happy kitty
