Re: cat insurance
I have all my cats insured for life with pet plan its about £10 per cat a month but they have never quibled over paying out and my dog cost them over £4500 last year and they paid out and my premium only went up by 27p.I personally would not use E and L and most vets would not reccomend them, they are very bad at paying out,i used them once for the horses.

Re: cat insurance
I agree with Siams - E & L are not good payers and only do yearly contracts (yep fell into that one! ) i am with Petplan for Jasper & the all the dogs- never had a claim for him but have claimed heavily this year for Diesel & Ticket with no problems whatsoever and the vets will do direct insurance claims with petplan - good luck with your decision

Re: cat insurance
I was E&L for quite a while- they are a nightmare to get payment from.
This year- even though I haven't claimed all the premiums went up by 25% at least. I've just changed and am paying less for better cover. Cat Insurance |

Re: cat insurance
Hi
I was with Virgin last year. Their premiums were reasonable and they paid out well on my claims. I've changed this year to Tesco as the premiums were cheaper; hoping they will be as good if I need to claim. Purrshah-persians Last edited by prada; 11-02-2008 at 12:15 PM.. Re: cat insurance
Hi, I am with Animal Friends who are insured via E&L. They claim "We are the only UK pet insurance company to donate 100% of our net profits to help animal charities worldwide." They also insure you for each condition per year so if some say you can claim up to £4000 a year Animal Friends actually insure for that much per condition - and you can have several conditions per year. My cat already had to have a x-ray and medication (she's only 10 months) and they offered to pay out very quickly (although thinking about it I have not received the cheque yet, lol).
Hope this helps. |
