Sasha has passed away

The day has finally come and Sasha our 18 year old Moggy has passed away, I am very sad that she has gone but so happy she had a long happy life with us, had her since she was 5 weeks old, she's been going downhill for a couple of weeks it's not been good watching her go downhill so quicklyand there were so many times these last couple of days I thought of taking her too the vets for a "final" journey, but she has now gone in her sleep on a nice blanket.

Re: Sasha has passed away

I am so sorry to hear about Sasha. It sounds as if you gave her a wonderful life and she carries that love with her to the Rainbow Bridge.

You can take comfort knowing that she died peacefully, at home, on her blanket, surrounded by her own things and familiar smells.

Sending you huge hugs - I know it is hard now, but in time you will only remember the happy things she did, and not how she was over the past weeks.

RIP Sasha x

Re: Sasha has passed away

Oh I am sorry to read that. I recall your posts about her and how worried you were that her time was coming.

It is better that she left you from the comfort of her own home, and in her own natural time, as the pain of making 'that' decision is so hard to bear.

She will have left behind many happy memories that, one day, you will be able to look back on and smile.

Big (((hugs))) to you and your family at this sad time.

RIP Sasha. Enjoy running free at Rainbow Bridge.

Re: Sasha has passed away

Sorry to hear of the loss of your old cat. I too have an 18 year old cat who is on borrowed time, but having lost two very young cats on the road am just grateful he had such a long life. I know it is still very sad when an old one dies but at least it is the natural way of things. RIP dear Sasha
