17 yearold cat having his remaining teeth removed

On Friday a 9.15 AM
don;t say much about billy - he's been with us since three weeks of age
Was at the vets this evening - losing his final two teeth!#He'sa fantastic character, hope all goes well. My other cat lived to be twenty, and his teeth were perfect whenhe died, this lad though hasalways suffered with his teeth! bet he'll be gladto see the back of em!

Re: 17 yearold cat having his remaining teeth removed

Good luck Billy! I read that its a bit of a mystery why some cats are suseptible to bad teeth while others have strong teeth the whole of their lives even between cats in the same household eating the same food. Just luck of the draw I suppose!

Well you must be doing something right to have cats that live to such ripe old ages. That is awesome!! I thought when my cat died at 16 that was a good age but 20 that is some knock!

I would also like to wish him well. I believe cats can do well without their teeth given the right food.
