Wall mounted scratch mats....

Are they any good?
I have a scratch post but I'm aware this boy is going to be pretty big. There is no suitable space really for a very large scratch post/tree

Do these mats work, or will puss just start to have a go at my Walls do you think?
I am thinking if the mats work he could have a couple of them attached to a wall so it's nice and high for him to stretch up against...

Re: Wall mounted scratch mats....

They do corner ones too. I hope that if it was a good quality one then he would find it more satisfying than the wall. Good reviews in Amazon

Re: Wall mounted scratch mats....

i'll have a look on amazon because wobsi is a ragdoll and he's a big cat and has quite a high reach and i think this sounds like it would be good for him,he uses his cat tree to scratch on the lower half but doesnt really use it higher up he doesnt seem to do heights, only attempted kitchen benches once because there was a chair there and same with the windows sills

Re: Wall mounted scratch mats....

For fab posts id recommend CATSCRATCHER.COM they are absolutely fab

We have the heavy duty pole and its well worth it. We bought a smaller post before and it moved and frightened jet, but this post has restored his faith in them

We have also got floor scratch mats which they love, but upstairs we got anaglipter wall paper which will be coming off in time so they dig their claws in this

Re: Wall mounted scratch mats....

I have a flat wall scratch mat nailed to my wall upstairs so it doesnt move and my 5 year old used to use this and then I had also nailed one to the corner of my mums devan bed as Chewitts used to wreck it, she then continued to use it with the scratch pad there happily but I then put a scratch post downstairs (not a massive one mind) by my armchair and they both use that now rather than the other places
