Re: Something tells me dotty wants to stay
This is dotty (looking upwards)
Little stripey is a proper little tart, he's all over everyone and anyone lol yet surprisingly he's still not been reserved yet! If I had the money and the space i would keep all of them! I really am going to miss them soo much but the people that have reserved kittens so far are really lovely and have promised to keep me updated with emails and pictures on a regular basis |

Re: Something tells me dotty wants to stay
They are all adorable. I honestly don't know how anyone has a litter and gives up any of them. I'd be keeping them all, because I'm a hopeless softy and a sucker

Re: Something tells me dotty wants to stay
Some of them are such posers but some are really hard to just get one decent photo of
Little black isn't the most photo genic but he has the most incredible ghost markings which are getting clearer by the day!got to admit I may have been a little extra fussy with potential new slaves for them - have already turned down 7 people But big ginge and splodge are reserved as am confident they will be good forever homes and they didn't mind being bombarded with questions ![]() |

Re: Something tells me dotty wants to stay
I'll tell you how we give them up... With great difficulty and a lot of tears! I've broken my heart each time one of my first litter has gone to a new home, but when you're breeding, you need to weigh up what's best for the cats, remembering that they won't stay little kittens forever. I think if you ever get to the point where you don't get upset when they go, that's the point when you need to stop breeding. I'm a softie too, so I doubt this'll ever happen for me... I considered seriously just giving up breeding and keeping them all when it came time to rehome them!

Re: Something tells me dotty wants to stay
When I went to collect Herbie from the breeder, I could tell she was upset, in fact she said 'Right, I'm NOT going to cry' as she fussed around and made sure I had everything. She even got Herbie's favourite toy dog (twice the size of him! and put the toy dog into my cat carrier along with Herbie so that he would be comforted by it!
Well Herbie was fine and settled in really quickly. As for his favourite toy dog, he used to beat the poor thing up and drag it around the landing. I gave it back to the breeder on a subsequent visit. And I bombard her with Herbie pictures via email.... Adorable kittens btw! Love the smiley ginger one! ![]()

Re: Something tells me dotty wants to stay
Only 3 left that haven't been reserved now - little black, little stripey and funnily enough dotty!
![]() Off for their first vaccs tomorrow which is going to be chaos ![]() Am so glad I get to at least keep Tigger as Im already dreading the thought of having to hand them over ![]() Been having a lucky dip on the lottery but no wins just yet! Even Grumpy Gizmo is now coping with all the kittens so he should be fine once its just Tigger (or Tigger and Dotty) |
