How much pee is normal???

Spencer has peed at least 6 times since this morning, 3 of them being just tonight! They're not trickles or remotely small though - proper pees!! I think every one of his pees today has been on the floor (well the 6 I know for sure he's had were) and just can't understand if it's behavioural why he would be going so often?

Re: How much pee is normal???

strange you should mention this because I changed the litter tray last night, I had to do it again tonight as it was full of pee. I have noticed that generally i only have to take a few scoops of damp litter out but every now and then it can be quite full of pee.

Re: How much pee is normal???

He doesn't usually go in the evening when I am here so for him to have gone at least 6 times in total today is very weird...especially when I'm trying to work out why he's peeing on the floor in the first place!

Re: How much pee is normal???

I dont know Im afraid but didnt want to read and run....

I know when Chewitts had her cystitis that they couldnt find a cause to they did some tests on her bladder to see how it was filling and emptying etc. Maybe that is worth asking your vet about?

Re: How much pee is normal???

I might have to phone them again tomorrow as it's not like him to pee so much! He usually goes maybe once in the evening but they both tend to go in the night and not so much during the day!

And, I've cleaned all those areas with the bio powder and he's still going there

It's 3 different spots and I can't stop him getting to any. He still uses the tray as well so I'm not convinced it's the litter. There's currently 3 litter trays out and may have to put more out if he doesn't stop going behind the tv, all 3 are different.
