Re: kobi!!! whyyyyyyy??

Stress? Not feeling well? There's any number of reasons. I think he's probably too young and too new there to be territorial, so I'd put it down to one or both of what I mentioned.

Hopefully Ianthi will be along--she's a wealth of info.

Re: kobi!!! whyyyyyyy??

maybe the unwell part, as he;s not showing any signs of stress. the other guess is he just didnt fancy his own litter tray??

Re: kobi!!! whyyyyyyy??

Maybe......maybe just because the soft poops haven't been pleasant, he's a little anti-litter box at the moment.

About the stress--they do mask these things well, and while he's probably happy as a lark now, he has been uprooted a lot in his short life remember--first from the "breeder", then to the woman you got him from (and lord only knows how that was for him), and now his forever home. Plus the poor baby has the flu. I'd be confused and peeing inappropriately too

Re: kobi!!! whyyyyyyy??

Welcome to the world of cats and not knowing what is wrong!

It could be a number of things, I do however, doubt he is being territorial over your daughter

Was the tray in the front room clean? How many trays do you have altogether? As dagny said, he could be associating the tray with unpleasant things as he's had a runny bum.

Get some simple solutions soft furnishings spray and use that if you are unable to put the fabric in the washing machine as he will keep going back there if he can smell his urine there.
