We have a cat that jumps on us at night when we're trying to sleep. My partner says that the cat is jumping on her too close to her face and this is scary.

Is there anything we can do about this?

The simplest thing would be to keep the cat out of the bedroom.

Welcome to our world Our MC girl wedges herself between the headboard and my wife's head then wraps her tail round her neck, it looks like a furry alien from the movies. Tried everything to stop it at first but a 7 kilo MC is difficult to dissuade. Other than locking the cat out of the room I don't know what you can do?

If we lock the cat out of the room, then it starts digging at the carpet by the door trying to get in.

Once before we did tape some newspaper down on the carpet outside a door, and she didn't like scratching at that. Maybe that's a solution.

Also try tin foil outside the door .... some cats dont like that either.



Alternatively just get used to the idea that the cat owns the bed and you are just visitors she lets sleep with her

Join the club! Jet does this, the first week in all honesty was a nightmare, it was constant, after the first week tho it calmed down. Perhaps hes waking you up for a reason - does he have food, perhaps he wants to play, i know its hard. When jet starts prancing oh tends to pull (in a nice way) him down into the crook of his arm. If he really wants to wake us up tho sometimes one of us gets a bum in the face, also he likes to sneeze in our ears, but the worst one that he does is: we have a metal bed frame and he bites it!
