Re: How soon?

He's going to test for crystals but I think he said it can form crystals on its own if it is left for a while? Not sure if he meant on the floor or in the tray, or both!

I need to make sure it's Spencer that goes in the tray with the special litter but come morning he's already peed on the floor so doesn't need to go and if I split them up Spencer does nothing but cry. So, only other option is to try and get it tonight and give it to OH to give to his mum who works there but not sure if that will be too long?

Re: How soon?

I can't say for sure, but when we got Aber's tested for UTI's (and I can't imagine a dog is much different), the vet said we could keep it in the fridge overnight. He really didn't seem concerned. I assumed maybe dead bacteria is just as telling as live. If it's crystals they're after, I would assume they don't just vanish, but maybe if they sit too long they start to break down?

Wow, I've been so not helpful!

No, that's helpful The only thing is he said that crystals can form if left so that would mean if it had been left a while they wouldn't know if the crystals were from Spencer or had formed themselves?

Could phone the vets I suppose!
