Wegies - a few questions

Hi, I was just wondering if you could give me your experience of NFCs?
Mainly their personality and what they are like to live with.

Are they indoor ONLY cats or do they have some sense to be allowed outside? I know cats such as Ragdolls ect are too soft to ever go outside but what do you think for NFCs?

Are they generally laid back? Or, a bit mental?

Any info would be great. It's ok reading up on web ect but would love your input. Thank you

Re: Wegies - a few questions

Hi,
I have a NFC She attacks towels and socks, very scratchy. Mine is quite smart and likes being outside.
She knows when a car is coming which is good.

Re: Wegies - a few questions

A very good choice! I have 5 gorgeous young wegies. We are besotted with them. They do have their mental moments and chase each other around the house but also are very laid back and loving towards ourselves and our elderly persians and moggie. They are very low maintenance. I have one that is a gentle quiet giant, a chatty monkey, and three cuddle bums. They are more laid back and soppy than the ragdoll I once had. A total joy!

Mine are all indoor. I wouldn't let any cat out where I live. We have a school at the end of the road and there is a lot of traffic down it. They are also so soft I think they would go to anyone for a cuddle, so would be at risk of being stolen

Re: Wegies - a few questions

My Wegie is the girlie girl of our gang, she's beautiful, a flirt and looks like butter wouldn't melt.. But she's an absolute terror on occasion aswell. Never before have I had a cat that likes to destroy things as much as she does!

All of our cats are indoors, the Wegie is the only one who the breeder specified could only go to an indoor home and personally I think she'd be a bit dippy if she was let out.
