Well worth mentioning, grass seeds are really evil, and that would certainly cause infection. They are also barbed so once entered skin they can only go in one direction inwards or upwards. There was the dog mentioned a few weeks ago, Ive had them enter and a dogs ear and migrate and puncture an ear drum. They can enter inbetween toes and migrate up tendons one spaniel at the park had one migrate to the groin.
I think cats can get cystitis too I should imagine that can be painful like it can in us. Dont know about crystals in the urine? dogs can get those and they cause frequent urination and I believe they can cause pain and discomfort too. Deffinately be an idea for a sample and examination I would think.
