Update -May not need to buy a cat as there is a poor little fella that lives in bins

Hey everyone,

Slight change since my last post as there has been a cat outside my flat that always appears from the bins no matter what time off day I am out there and this has been going on for the last 10 - 14 days so I have taken it in a few times and given it food which it absolutely devoured and she has seemed really happy and content whilst in here, just sleeping on my alp alot etc....

She hasn't got a collar and is out at all times and I've prob only not seen her come out from the bins twice in the last 2 week.

So my question is what to do next? I'm going to take it to the vet this week to get it scanned an then what do I do after that? do I take it in and give it a home or call the local cattery?

Thanks

awww bless well she if there is a chip and if there is the owner may come forward, otherwise all you can do is take her in for now and maybe put a poster up letting people know or contact the catteries to see if anyone has lost a cat.

Does she feel skinny is her coat maintained?

Her coat isn't very well maintained and she is fairly boney.

What do I do when I call the vet? am I just asking to get her scanned or will they just do the usual things if I tell the situation?

well she sounds like a stray you can get her scanned and get her checked out like hope says she sounds like a stray i would be naughty and keep her if she doesn't have a chip lol but she will need to be weighed and have her vaccinations and some flea and worm treatment, the rest is all about love

Aww bless, poor little puss. Well done you for feeding the little one x

I agree with the others and if you have no luck with finding the owner or them coming forward, I'd keep puss

Good luck and keep us updated
