Re: Update -May not need to buy a cat as there is a poor little fella that lives in b

I had this problem about 6-7 weeks ago, I found a Cat wandering about lost near out Tip, again I noticed it so this time I manged to coax it to my car. Anyways after a visit to vets -no chip- and putting posters up in the area etc. I managed to find a nice indoor home for him.

He,s called Lucky now and has settled in well at his new home.

Well done to you for looking after puss. Hope he/she too gets a nice forever Home.

Awwww well done for taking this little one on board.

You're already on the right track with getting her scanned for a chip. If she is unchipped, then put some posters up in the area to say she has been found. Give local vets a call within about a 5-mile radius as cats CAN travel a fair way over a period of time. Just because she hasn't got a collar now doesn't mean she hasn't had one in the past and it has gotten lost. Ask if they have had a report of a lost cat fitting her description.

If, after 2-3 weeks, no-one has come forward to claim her, get back down the vet and get her chipped with your details on it.

And most cats take to litter very quickly so I doubt you'll need to do much training.
