I got my girls one of those rings with the trapped ball- like this but without the mouse thing-


And they love it! Dallie plays with it a lot more that Tig- Tig prefers the laser pointer.

And both prefer trying to eat my headphones

Blue Peter (here's one I made earlier) - 1 x ping pong ball, 1 x cardboard box (not too deep and no flaps but wide enough for kitty to move in it)

Place ping pong ball into box, kitty will batt ball in box for ages!!

Another DIY toy- take two drinking straws, not too soft and twist together, tie round each other, again provides kitty with self amusement for hours batting across floor and also good for teething kitties.

(have spent so much on toys, this one, that one and learnt there's a lot I can do with stuff I have in my cupboard already, they love the twirly ribbon you get from the florist, is a winner

Myncats favourite toy is a squeaky mouse and a long multicoloured boot lace !!!

Max seems to like his dangler pole toys that I picked up for him at Poundland

my cats like the mice and balls

Seb's favourites are his play cube and a mouse made of rope, had to get some more of the rope mice just in case he loses it.

Frank doesn't like toys but will have a little roll around for about a minute with a cat nip toy.

I wish mine liked catnip!

They both like chasing ribbon- but I make sure to put it away afterwards, you hear such sad stories about cats injesting ribbon and thread

I think it's one of the cutest looks when they play- the huge dilated eyes and ready-to-pounce crouch, very adorable!

Because my girls are indoor cats I like to switch up their toys, so they stay active and interested- so cheers for the DIY tips

They've recently started really playing with each other as well!

I have a similar toy ring with trapped ball. Spatula will lie on his side with arms inside batting the ball back and forth like a tennis game. Very cute.

Laser pointer is lots of fun too. It projects a little picture of a fish and they never give up chasing it, but do look confused whenever they 'catch' it and there is nothing to bite.

Little mice never lose their appeal either, but they keep getting lost under sofa/fridge etc.

At the moment my long skirts are never safe when I walk down the stairs

Leo likes a paper ball, he dosn't like the other toys that got bought for him.
