Not feel too well

Shadow was very quiet and hardly went out yesterday. I came downstairs this morning and there was sick on the floor. At this stage I still wasn`t sure if it was from Shadow or Puss Puss but when I gave them their food it was obviously Shadow, as he wouldn`t eat. For the next 3 hours he was still lethargic so I took him to the emergency vet. His temp is normal, his heart was okay but his bladder is a little full. The vet said starve him until tomorrow but let him drink goats milk in small amounts and give him honey (for the sugar) from my finger into his mouth. Hope he get over this soon.

Re: Not feel too well

So sorry to hear this. Does the vet think it is a UTI?
Goats milk and honey rather than injections and pills...is it a holistic vet? I thought it was bad to give them milk at all so this is interesting.

Hope Shadow is feeling better soon. x

At this stage he doesn`t think it is too serious but suggested that I should see my own vet if he hasn`t picked up by tomorrow.
Apparently goats milk is fine for cats and it is the cows milk that isn`t. It is the lactose in cows milk that upsets their tummies. He doesn`t think he needs drugs as yet.

Strangly it wasn`t much noisier than it has been the last week. The fireworks didn`t upset them at all. I had the curtains pulled and they got underneath to look. At least they are both safe inside.
Thank you for asking buffie
