Talking Leo is home!!!!! ;)

hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
before you ask- i will put leo pics in as soon as i can!
i bought leo home today, i took him out of his carrier once he had a nap and we played with his ping pong ball!!!!!
i opened the door and he played follow-the-leader with me, out into the kitchen and up the hall! it was very cute!
but i have noticed his eyes are very watery (mostly after naps) and he is sneezing a fair bit.............? and he has hardly eaten since we got him. (11am) he has drank a bit of this milk forumula stuff which he loved- but he hasn't eaten anything or drank any water- he also hasn't peed or pooped!
he is doing well other than that
he fell asleep on the couch with me before
i let him into the lounge and he had a bit of a run, and whenever i approached him he would run behind the couch- he is now back safely in the laundry!
lymorelynn, MCWillow and peterbsh like this.

Re: Leo is home!!!!! ;)

If he's just had his second vaccination then these can be side-effects and only last a short while. I would recommend finding the specific "brand" of vaccine used (mine were on Leucofeligen and I found an official testing document with google trivially: http://www.ema.europa.eu/docs/en_GB/...C500063752.pdf). My boys had quite a bit of sneezing and also Bertie had a little growth where the injection was given but this also went away.

Of course, you should be careful in case it's more than just that too!

Have much fun and a long and happy life together

PS I write this as I watch my three playing around on the cold decking outside for only the third day, so I'm feeling all fuzzy too.

Re: Leo is home!!!!! ;)

Hercules has a kink at the end of his tail too... It was worse when he was younger and it's starting to straighten but it's still there if you feel it. He's not has any trouble with it, the vet didn't seem concerned either.

Re: Leo is home!!!!! ;)

Glad to hear your little man is home with you
It will take him a couple of days to settle into his new environment so don't worry if he doesn't eat much or use the litter tray - but do watch that he isn't going to the toilet elsewhere . Keep an eye on the sneezing and watery eyes but many kittens do get these symptoms and it could just be a change of environment.
The kink in the end of his tail should not be a problem at all. It used to be quite a common fault in Siamese and I currently have a kitten with a kinked tail - it looks almost as if it has been broken at the tip. It doesn't cause any pain and as Leo grows his kink may become less noticeable especially since he is a semi longhaired cat.
Looking forward to seeing some pictures but let him settle in a bit
