Too damn clever.....

Bugs is too clever for his own good!!!! The foster kittens are eating Hills Veterinary Essentials dry food and Bugs loves it!!! The kits are fed in their cage supposedly so Bugs cant get to it and eat it......

Well he has figured out how to put his paw through the cage bars grab a few pieces of food drag it to the top of the bowl and 'flick' slightly so it comes out of the cage and he can eat it!!! GRRRRRRRRRR I wouldnt mind too much if a) it wasnt the fosters food and therefore supplied by the RSPCA and b) it wasnt so rich and making him slightly loose in his motions!!!

He sits there for about 5 mins eating loads bit by bit!! And goes to both bowls to see which is easier!!

Are any of your cats too clever for their own good??

Yes. Rather than retype how so - here is my thread from a few days ago.

Gah! I want stupid cats!
Kittenfostermummy likes this.

Re: Too damn clever.....

I used to have a very smart cat called Boris some years back & he was one VERY clever wee cookie!!

He could open the fridge door and, if you put stuff in front to block it off, he sussed out that he could open it from the top of the work-top!!!

In the summer, when it was hot, he used to open the fridge door and lie in front of it to cool down!

I had to put a child lock on it to keep him out!!!

The OAP's have never had much in the brains dept but I think the Youffs are showing the ability to have some smarts about them. It's early days yet but there have been a few sparks of intelligence.......

Re: Too damn clever.....

my kitchen is now childproofed

my bathroom door (which had lock removed after nephew locked himself *in*) has a new lock as they let themselves in when I'm in bath

their food in an air tight bin in a cupboard - now has a lock on the cupboard

the TV gets turned off at the wall as they turn it on

as does the computer

*sigh*

Be careful Jenny - she may very well be lulling you into a false sense of security.

Cats are very devious that way........
