Exclamation Ominous...
Last night my OH and I were watching telly and I noticed that we hadn't seen Dinah and Monty for a while. They usually sleep or play where we are. Even though they have free access to roam upstairs, they normally only go up there when we do (usually trying to trip us up as we go up the stairs!) so I noticed it was eerily quiet last night...

So I started to worry that there was something wrong and went out into the hallway. It was pitch black in the hallway/landing/stairs, as we only had a really dim lamp on in the living room where we were watching telly, so I put the light on in the hallway and saw this...

Luckily I was holding my phone so could snap a quick photo. OMINOUS CATS! I'm guessing they might've been sleeping up there and my putting the light on woke them... but it just looks so cute and slightly creepy, the way they were staring down at me from between the railings!!!

I went up the stairs a bit and gave them both a kiss through the railings. Then left them up there. An hour later they were still there but had fallen asleep!

As a sidenote, Monty's paws are getting so chunky!

It's funny actually... we left them alone for a while then I went back out into the hallway and DIDN'T put the light on. Instead I took a pic with the flash to see if they'd moved (it was pitch black out there) and this was the result... spooky!!!!!!!

Then about half an hour after this pic they had fallen asleep - bless!

Did you do a sweep for any water balloons or cat equivalents up there???

You're quite right! I'm surprised I didn't get any half-eaten spiders flung at my head! I have the feeling I'll have to keep an eye on them this evening... and have the treats on standby!
