Last night my OH was getting miffed because I gave him some treats to give Jaffe (to help with bonding) and instead of going to him to get treats he was following me around. My OH got in a grump and told me to give him the treats as he like me more but I told him that he had to make more of an effort with Jaffe and treat giving otherwise he will not bond with you as much. I also told him that he needs to show Jaffe that he is worth paying attention too and Jaffes affections towards him will be rewarded

Now I know for a fact that Jaffe does love him as he always goes running to greet him when he gets home and enjoys playing with him too but Jaffe will choose lie next to me, ask for my attention over his and follows me around everywhere. I do feel a bad that my OH doesn't get the same amount of affection from Jaffe as I do but in a very selfish kinda way I like being his favourite.

Does anybody else get this from their OH/family members

Seamus is a mummies boy!! Always has been! He sleeps on me most of the time and gives me loads of affection compared to my fiancé. However, I've had him for 11 years and ge's only known my fiancé for 4 years. Mine both prefer to sit on my OHs lap so I only get them when he is not in. Any yes, I get VERY jealous

I'm not sure who Molly favours really ..... It's me she always comes to for a cuddle in the evening, but then she does cuddle up to OH when he's eating (only because he's a soft touch!! lol)

At night she will sleep inbetween us, and we both have to be facing her or she gets the hump If I'm not in she will come for lots of cuddles with other half and vica versa ........ She will play more with OH (maybe he has the same mental age )



So all in all I think it's pretty much 50/50 in this house

My older cat Loulou is a mummy's girl through & through but..... if we are both sat on the sofa... Loulou will sit on my lap first then after a few minutes of trying to get comfy she moves onto my husbands lap............... it's bigger and warmer.. she's not stupid.... thats the only time she bothers with him, he reckons I love the cats more than him however our kitten Libby has got my husband wrapped around her tiny paw... she will cuddle and kiss and purrrrr when he holds her and he is convinced she adores him............. NOT she does it to everyone, Ha! clever pussy!

Locke is very much a daddy's boy - he prefers OH to anyone else in the house a great deal of the time. I do get jealous sometimes - usually when Locke will crawl on OH's chest, drools and gives OH lots of licks and rubs on his beard this happens most mornings!

I do however become a very quick favourite when it comes to feeding and play times, so I can't be completely jealous

Id say Oscar prefers my son to any of us! hes the one who run him over and he still lavishes him with kisses and cuddles all the time! If he isnt in then he will come to me but if my son is in i dont get a look in
On a night he goes between laying at hubbys feet to laying by my side and sometimes getting in the middle of us under the quilt with his head on the pillow

Frankie is a mummies boy, he doesn't like my OH or anyone else, even though he's been with us for nearly 3 years, he still runs and hides from my OH he's a timid chap and I put this down to his previous life before I adopted him I will spend time fussing him everytime he comes in and I'm sure the OH is jealous, can tell by the look on his face when I go back into the living room.

Seb is sharing us at the moment and we will both play with him, he does sleep on my side of the bed though
