Rosso's 'Bits n Bobs'

Rosso went back to the vet this week to check out his 'Bits n Bobs' and she said that one still hasn't descended and the other is quite small, So we have decided to leave it another month before having his op, he is now 7 months old and a big strapping lad at 5.25kg.... the last few days I have started to notice his wee is starting to smell a little stronger and he has pushing my other, older cat Mika around quite a bit (in fact I even caught him trying to mount Mika from behind while he had him by the neck the other day ) So I don't think I can put it off for much longer....

Trouble is i stupidly googled cryptorchidism in cats and have now completely freaked myself out and am worrying myself silly about the op, the fact that they might have to dig around to try and find the testicle as it could be anywhere!! Has anyone had any experience of this operation? Is it very dangerous? What is the recovery time? Do they have to wear a collar? Cage recovery? I know it sounds silly but one of the main reasons I have always chosen male cats is so that they/I don't have to go through some big invasive surgery to be neutered..... I'm such a worry guts

Thank you, He's a Maine Coon......it breaks my heart he's going to have to have all that gorgeous, fluffy tummy shaved, I like to bury my face in it and give him tummy kisses

I'll keep my fingers crossed all goes smoothly. He is an absolutely stunning cat, I don't think I've ever seen one quite like him before. Wow!
