Brother and sister fighting
Hi, we have 2 maine coons, brother and sister and they fight like the proverbial cat and dog. We thought they might grow out of it but sometimes it gets quite serious with lots of yowling and mouthfuls of fur. Anyone got any advice?

They are about 1 and a half years old. Jay is a bigun even for a maine coon and Diz was the runt of the litter as the mother 9 kittens, which I understand for a coon is a lot.

Wow, yea, I know of a Coonie breeder who's cat had 9 kittens
 I take it they're both neutered ? It is most likely a power struggle to see who is top cat, only sometimes neither will back down. You could have a water pistol or something similar handy, so when they do start getting serious just squirt it at them a firmly say "no" works with mine. Welcome to the forum by the way too

Thanks, will try the water pistol method although Diz might just sit there and take the water as she is forever in the stuff.
The breeder we got them from was Pat Lister of Coonaria.
