Re: Rant - Pet Shop Selling Young Kittens

Awww poor kittens that is sooo sad

I cannot remember the last time I saw a pet shop selling kittens, probably when I was a child. The person running this pet shop deserves to be strung up and reported. People like this disgust me

I wish there was some kind of law to stop pet shops selling animals.
ChinaBlue and emmar like this.

Re: Rant - Pet Shop Selling Young Kittens

Personally I hate pet shops that sell any animal full stop, I used to work in a very well known pet centre years and years ago now and the things I saw there will haunt me forever. These shops don't give to hoots about the animals they sell they just care about lining their pockets. Many of these pet shops get their animals from large back street breeders that don't care about the animals either, they don't care if any animal gets sick, just throw it out if it doesn't make money . I personally would like to see the day a law comes in to stop pet shops from being able to sell any animal, because how do they know that animal is going to the RIGHT home for it? and it is going to be treated right? they don't, all they care about is money. I live for the day that animals stop being treated as objects that can be thrown away like a piece of rubbish when they have had enough of it. Animals are living breathing creatures and each and everyone is amazing and should be treated with far more respect.

Re: Rant - Pet Shop Selling Young Kittens

Just to add anyone wanting a pet shop closed in their area, need to get onto Trading standards, local council and if you live very near and can get them on noise or smell pollution then get the environmental health involved. try setting up a petition the more people you get to back you the better once you have that, get the local press involved and make people listen to you, until more people stand up for these big companies sell pets nothing is ever going to change sadly

Re: Rant - Pet Shop Selling Young Kittens

I would name and shame petshop on here and other forums- a few phonecalls from concerned members of the public may focus the owners mind on this practice

Re: Rant - Pet Shop Selling Young Kittens

Wonder if someone could get an e-petition going to have this whole issue brought up by MPs.
