Re: A little girl in need of help :(

This story is is almost exactly how we came to have our Fluffy! She just appeared from thin air too. I also had a lady that phoned me up in a distressed state saying that Fluffy sounds identical to her lost cat but when she arrived she said she's not her cat. I felt awful for her too. I totally understand how you felt. I hate to say it but it looks like she's been abandoned I mean if someone lost their cat they'd be putting up posters, knocking on doors and putting pics of their lovely moggy on various websites wouldn't they??

Like I said in a previous post of mine a lady at the CPL said this year has been horrendous for abandoned cats .

I can totally relate to the checking out of window. I did that for a week before getting the "go ahead re worming, defleaing and vet check". It was awful watching her cowering underneath my car in the pouring rain.

Your little found moggy is a clever cat and has managed to find her way to a lady that loves cats! I'm sure she is psychic

Hopefully her owners will contact you.

Re: A little girl in need of help :(

Thank you everyone for such lovely words. I'm pretty sure every one of you would have done the same though

She's had a peaceful night and appears to have loved her little bed box Chris went out at about midnight to give her some more food and check she was OK ... which she was Very pleased to see him too! She loves raw food

Re: A little girl in need of help :(

Poor baby, it sounds as if she has landed on her feet though. Hopefully she will have no nasties and you will be able to keep her.

There are many possible scenarios but without a micrchip it's impossible to know. Owners can die and the surviving relatives not want to take responsibility for the cat, some cat haters openly admit to taking cats and dumping them miles away (as if that will somehow stop all the cats in the neighbourhood entering their precious gardens), people can kove house and not be able to find the cat, etc etc.

I have a one eyed boy with a limp who lives in the garden here, he has been around for nearly two years, he turned up out of the blue and never went home. I think he had a home because as far as I can tell he seems to be a british blue colourpoint. I can't get within six feet of him though so no way to scan him for a chip, and the state he was in he must have been living wild for a long time, I think he is quite old.

Re: A little girl in need of help :(

Great to know someone is looking after her

I've lost count of the number of *strays* who have found their way to my garden/shed and made it their home, if only a temporary one. A couple, Ginger Tom and now Stripey Tail, eventually came into the house once they realised they were welcome.

There's a scruffy, elderly black tom who's calling regularly atm who I'm pretty sure is a stray due to recent untreated injuries to a ear. He'd run a mile on seeing me at first but will now approach as he knows I'll feed him, tho' I still get a full on back-off-hiss if I get too close.
