Re: A little girl in need of help :(

So sorry to hear you are having a crap time of things, if anyone would have been able to settle a new one it would have been you. I'm sure whatever you decide to do will be for the best for all concerned.

Bummer about the house! Cant believe your landlord has only given you 2 months notice, especially this time of year I wish you all the luck in the world in finding somewhere new ((hugs))

Re: A little girl in need of help :(

That is really rubbish news all round! Who is batting who? I really thought she would settle in. I know you will do what is best for her as well as for your own cats and that's all you can do really.

Trying to find a place at moving at this time of years sucks! I have done it sooo many times I never want to do it again! It seems really wrong as they are only getting rid of you to get other people in. I'm sure there must be some sort of legal implications in doing that.

I know Plus we have also just spent a lot of money on wood floors, decorating and putting my bath in ... all of which they knew about. If they had told us this in May or June we wouldn't have done that, and we also would have been in a position to buy a house as we had the deposit then. It's all so upsetting I've done nothing much more than cry for days and days!

There is only a bit of batting and hissing going on and it's Tabitha mostly. But I could deal with that. It's Tabitha hunting the girls down and flying at them claws out and teeth ... she full on attacks them. Poor Tinks was bleeding after one incident I have since done everything I can to keep them apart most of the day while I'm on my own. Then we try and wear her out before letting them mingle. But she still does it

The vet suggested she would be better as an only cat, and I have to agree. She's OK apart from that ... yes she bites and bats me occasionally, but she is so loving as well.

Unfortunately on the house front we signed the tenancy stating that we had to give a minimum of 2 months notice if we wanted to leave and they had to give the same if they wanted us out. Oh how I wish I had pushed for at least 3 months now

Crikey! That really isn't good. I've not heard of a cat hunting another cat down to attack! As much as I hate to say it, it probably would be better for her to find a home

Have you spoken to the CAB just on the in case basis? I thought no matter what they had to have a GOOD reason to ask you to leave! It is alway worth asking regarding the tenancy but also regarding the amount of work you have done to improve the place and whether you can get reimbursed even if it's not in full I'm sure something would help. It just sounds a bit rotten

Re: A little girl in need of help :(

Oh no. That not good at all with Tabitha, at the end of the day you got to also look after who you got already. in an ideal world it would be fab if Tabitha could settle with youvand yours but to draw blood, you have to take a step back.

Not only that, by the sound of what going on at this time, perhaps its also for the best, it sounds as though you've got enough on your plate to try and deal with, with settled pets.

You've tried your best but it seems as tho shes a one cat house,

Fingers crossed you'll find somewhere soon and this is what you need to concentrate on

Re: A little girl in need of help :(

Oh Aurelia, I am gutted for you about Tabitha and also about the house situation. I really feel for you. There is nothing really that I can say to make it any better but just know we're all here for you if you need to come on here and have a rant! I really hope that the move turns out to be a positive thing, for humans and animals alike, and that your Christmas is as stress-free as it possibly can be. *big hugs* xxx
