Make sure that it is GCCF registered and google for cat names .

Never owned a ped so not sure what else to say, someone else will be along soon with the ins and outs.

Re: Info on Burmese Kittens

I had a little brown burmese as a girl in Aus. She was lovely and called Pywackett - a deliberate mispelling of Pyewacket who was Gillian Holroyd's cat and familiar in the film Bell, Book and Candle.

Originally I wanted the little red burmese but my parents said no because he was a boy. When Pye came home though she was a delight. She was so confident with three kids (11, 7 and 2) and a beagle that she sorted out on the first day. She used to sit upright on the couch just like me and at night she would put her head and one paw on the pillow just like me. She was always really gentle but did have the bad habit of stalking my sisters through the house . She was allowed outside and used to walk me to the bus stop and pick me up in the afternoon and sometimes present me with a small dead lizard or mouse

I don't have a lot of experience with Burmese but I think they are a delightful and gorgeous breed

Wonderful cats, very people orientated, not for the faint hearted (I have one who is happy to run up my back!), Just make sure the kitten is at least 12 weeks old and has all the vaccinations.

Here is my very first pedigree cat, Ch. Hamiltarn Henrietta, still sorely missed

Re: Info on Burmese Kittens

I was fortunate enough to spend a month with three Burmeses (and a Russian Blue) a few years back. I hadn't been a cat lover up until then but they were... well, they were like dogs. One in particular stole my heart, he seemed to have a certain wisdom about him that I couldn't put my finger on. Wonderful personalities, all of them. Very assertive though - I can see how it'd be easy for them to get you at their beck and call.
