where does that cat go?

He is out all day do you think he is being fed by persons unknown or hunting his own food? As he cannot go all day without eating.

Lol, you'd be surprised how far a cat will wander on it's travels. I suspect it's a combination of both

It depends if you leave him a way back into his home. If he can come and go as he pleases he probably does not travel far (defending his territory) but if you block off his way back into his home you may find he wanders further in order to find a place he can rest/ hole up etc

Re: where does that cat go?

Is it possible for a cat to find a new home and not bother going back to original home ?

Re: where does that cat go?

Yes

There are anecdotal stories of cats having more than one home. For instance if you shut your cat out while at work and he finds another home willing to provide food and comfort he may well spend time there.

Catscan be very unloyal. Some cats, if they find a more appealing home will take up residence permanently.

(Its rare for the divorcing, but i suspect not so rare for the two timing )

Re: where does that cat go?

Hi Crystal, yes it is possible so you just have to make sure he wants to keep coming home,he'll know where his fav cuddles and food is,cats are very good at training and manipulating

Re: where does that cat go?

We only have one cat who roams and that is our moggie neuter boy. We let him out in the morning and he comes back every so often during the day to snaffle all the cat biscuits that are left in the bowl!

Everyone down our road knows him and I'm fairly sure that lots of them feed him too but he always comes back at the same time every day and snuggles up on his sofa in the cat room!
