persians feet

This might sound daft but does anyone here trim their persians feet? Marley has really long tufts of fur between his toes, around 2 inches long! looks like he's got built in slippers

It was getting to be a nightmare when he'd been in the litter tray, plus watching him walk across the tiles was hysterical talk about bambi on ice!

Tilly has them too but nothing like Marley! Tonight much to his disgust I trimmed all the hair away, it'll be one less thing to do when Im grooming him, Tilly keeps herself fairly clean, but Marleys coat is much longer than hers is & he really struggles, so needs a lot of help (not that he appreciates the help mind lol)

Re: persians feet

I dont trim Audrey's feet - they are very fluffy too but dont think they cause her any problems at all

Re: persians feet

I don't as I like them to have hairy feet to go with their hairy trousers Dont want to spoil their image and street cred Seriously never had a prob with long hair between the toes as the muck is quite easy to brush out, it might be trickier if the muck got inbetween the toes in my opinion

Re: persians feet

Not a persian but my longhaired Selkirk has long curls poking through his toes and very hairy feet - I leave them
