What are my rights?

I bought a kitten through pets4homes. I paid the owner extra to make sure the kitten had its injections before I picked it up, just because I have another cat and know its a risk to that one. Now I need the vets details and am getting no response from the ex owner. In the weeks before picking up the kitten we were in contact easily and she always replied, now she isn't replying and I feel I may have been conned! Anybody have any suggestions where I go from here?

Re: What are my rights?

Maybe if you put a post on the site where you bought your kitten from, someone else who got a kitten from the same person may be able to help you with info, or it may show the breeder up !!!

unfortunately unless you put this in writing legally you have no rights or some proof of communication between you two. Unfortunately the law doesn't recognise disputes like these unless there is some form of a contract.

Re: What are my rights?

You should have been given the kitten's vaccination record and if you didn't get it I would say that your kitten hasn't been vaccinated despite the fact that you paid for it. You could go to the 'breeder' in person and see what has gone wrong. You could keep trying to ring or email.
How old was the kitten when you picked it up? If it was under 12 weeks I doubt very much that it has been vaccinated as this is done at 9 and 12 weeks of age.
