I think it is unlikely that he felt remorse but was more aware of the waves of disapproval that would have been coming off you.
He would have sensed that you were upset with him and was most likely following you about to get back into your good favour again. But that is only my opinion. ![]()

Of course they have feelings. Like other animals.
Every few years or more, I see an article that confirms something that vegetarians and vegans have known for years prior to the article or even decades prior to it (e.g. pigs are intelligent - know for decades by veggies and vegans, only in recent years confirmed by mainstream media; eating a diet of fruit and veg staves off cancer, recently confirmed in media; meat is poisonous; etc. etc.). It's only a matter of time before all the other things that veggies and vegans know are confirmed. Mark my words.
