Opinion on Feliway (or other cat pheremone products)?

As some of you know, I've been considering giving my cat to someone else for various reasons. But before I make the final decision, can people give me opinions on Feliway etc.?

Apparently it takes a long time to work (see this thread for reasons why that's not good: Anyone in Greater Manchester wanna foster a Bombay Breed cat? ), but if it worked then it'd mean being able to keep my cat. But it seems to me like I'd be replacing his need for affection with something fake, and I wouldn't do that to a child.

Opinions?

Re: Opinion on Feliway (or other cat pheremone products)?

I started using a Feliway plug yesterday as my elderly boy has been having the odd wetting accident recently. Its being used in conjunction with Cystaid.

Now I would never had considered Oscar as a stressy cat, more a laid back, take life as it comes type of chap. The plug in has only been in for almost 27 hours, but Oscar does seem more relaxed, more so than usual!

Either that or the Feliway has worked on me and its me thats not so stressy where he is concerned
