Progress update on scared fosters.....

just had them out up in the bathroom (less places to hide!!) and managed to get them both to eat fish paste off chopstick and Emleigh the shyist even licked some off my fingers!! Then was playing with them and some string and even had purring cuddles with Pickles and cuddles with minimal growls from Emleigh but they still hiss and growl when you go to pick them up. Im sure with bathroom time they will come round!!

The still dont like seeing my kitten and he doesnt help as hisses back at them all the time. I am sure he can put up with it tho for a week or so

Just thought I should have got some more pics of them when up in bathroom but totally didnt think... will have to try and remember tomorrow!!

Re: Progress update on scared fosters.....

Sounds as if you're making progess here especially with the eating!

Actually you've touched on something I meant to suggest in your earlier post ie play. My oldest ( now a very calm, affectionate little cat! ) was feral who had no prior contact with people at all! I found play invaluable in the early stages as a means of getting her to focus on something else other than her fear of humans! She loved batting a few ping pong balls around the room and this kept her 'occupied' for ages-much more relaxed afterwards, as well. Helped a lot in the overall bonding process, I felt.
