My cat has been badly injured

My cat has a serious injury - he has severed the tendon in his back right leg. It is now bandaged and he has to be isolated in a room with no furniture for 6 weeks. He is used to having the run of the house and coming and going as he pleases. Does anyone have any advice on how to make it easier for him to be in one room for such a long time - anything that will make him calmer/more comfortable etc.

Poor Kitty What about laying some comfy cushions on the floor for him or a duvet.

Re: My cat has been badly injured

Thank you. Yes, I've done that - I've put the bedspread from my bed (which is his favourite place to sleep) on the floor and put his little bed in there. I will add more stuff to make it cosier though. I'm not allowed to have any furniture so I have had to empty the room completely. He's going to have a very tough few weeks

Re: My cat has been badly injured

Poor little soul
You could keep the room quite warm so he sleeps more. Also a feliway plug in might help him to relax more.
Also plenty of kisses and cuddles.

Hope he makes a quick recovery xxxxxxxxxxxx

Re: My cat has been badly injured

As long as he's comfy he'll be fine. He'll probably sleep alot more during his recovery period anyway. He'll probably enjoy more snuggles and cuddles as he won't be so mobile so that'll be a bonus too.

Re: My cat has been badly injured

Thanks all. I'll get a feliway plug and put the heating on for him. Any more tips gratefully received.

Aww poor baby, here's to a speedy recover x

I can only agree with what other have said maybe a battery operated radio to keep him company when you are not at home.

Keep us updated on his progress.
