Kitten visit

I showed you the new kitten I'm getting at the end of next month but I was wondering if I brought it to our house for a brief visit of, say 15 - 30 mins to meet my mum and the other two, its mother won't reject it or cart it away somewhere else when I take it back will she? I know this sounds like a daft question but I've never had such a young kitten for about 30 years. It only lives about a 2 minute walk from us. I know mother birds reject their young if they are taken away and then put back.

Re: Kitten visit

When you say 'the other two', I presume you're talking about your other two cats? Personally, I would leave the little mite with his mum until it's time to leave...

Re: Kitten visit

I think I'd take your mum to the cat rather than the other way round as it's only a 2 min walk away.

Re: Kitten visit

I doubt that the mother cat would reject the kitten, depending on its age now of course, but I don't think it's a good idea to take it home until it's ready to leave. You could always take some photos if your mum can't get to see the kitten before you bring it home.
