I agree with you from my own experience long haired cats are more tamed than short fur cats. I've had both even their characters are different the long furs cat i've had and have seems to be more human friendly ie understanding more what you are saying this is just my own opinion mine.

Yeah I think my Furbies are pretty chilled, and it relaxes me too to groom them and then stroke their 'smooth as silk' fur. (They should do L'Oreal adverts)

However, I am going to view a ginger shorthaired cat tomorrow at the CP, who's owner gave him up after 2 years as they were allergic! Poor cat is now unhappy as he doesn't get what he has done wrong and doesn't like being in a pen

Anyway, they say he is very chilled out too so we will have to see if he likes us and would like the Furbies too.
