Re: Feliway

I think the fire risk is from when they run out and are left plugged in, I kept mine plugged in and turned on 24/7 when I had it, but I put an alarm on my phone for 25 and 30 days after it had been plugged in do I could check on it and not let it run out.

Re: Feliway

I posted a week or two ago about my concerns re my Feliway getting hot. I decided to get a second one - and it's exactly the same as the first so I expect it's normal (as someone said the warmth is how it works). I leave mine in all the time, the manufacturer advises replacing the diffuser unit every 6 months so I'll be doing that as well as making sure it doesn't run out whilst plugged in.

I've introduced two new cats to an established one in the past few months with no real problems - I'm convinced it's the Feliway though obviously I don't know what they'd have been like without it!

I will leave it plugged in as I think switching it on and off will be completely ineffective. Am not normally jittery about things like this, but am a bit stressed with other things at the mo and think I am unduly worrying
