I thought it was only me that worried about the cold with an older cat, mines 16 and I don't like him laying outside in the cold to sleep, I think I am what is commonly known as an overprotective mum

haha I definitely am too. .. I cry if she wont come in when I shout her and it has snowed! I stand there saying to my OH or my parents "MAKE HER COME IN I DON'T WANT HER TO BE COLDDDDDDDDDDDDD" with tears pouring down my cheeks like a child having a tantrum

then I go outside in the deep snow and find her curled up under a bush and she's all toasty and warm haahahaha

I worry far too much about my animals. ..I dread to think what I'll be like when I have kids!!!!

I ring my parents whenever I'm at work to make sure that the ducks and chickens have been put away so they're safe from the foxes hahahaha

I've had the kids already, they are 21 and 24 and I still worry about them, sometimes I think the cat gets more worried about because he can't tell us what's wrong etc and he's an old man and needs looking after more Mind you it's a sensible thing to make sure the ducks and chickens are safe for the night

#2 cat Fudge, is 15+ and often falls out with being indoors, during last winter she refused to come in for anything but food for the best part of 2 weeks. She was always dry when she appeared so must have found somewhere warm nearby to shelter and sleep overnight, tho' I've no idea where. No doubt it'll happen again this year and if the weather forecasts are right it'll be a worry.
