What did the vet say? I'm no expert but I believe many kittens have heart murmers that resolve themselves as they get older, hopefully this is what will happen in your little one's case.

Re: heart murmer in a 12 week old kitten

A grade 2 murmer is very slight. Most kittens will grow out of this by 6-8 months. Even if they don't, it's not a life changer unless it gets much worse. It certainly does not slow them down much (voice of experience)

Re: heart murmer in a 12 week old kitten

Vets can quite often pick up a heart murmur in young kittens which can then go on to grow out of the problem.
What breed is the kitten you are looking at as some cats are prone to hereditary heart conditions and parents should have been checked before mating.
