Re: Does anyone elses kitten..

Chaucer does it and, even worse, he likes to drape himself across my throat while I'm sleeping. I wake up gasping for air. He's still little (he goes back to the vet next week, but I'm guessing he's about 2.5kg), but he'll only get bigger.

And I think Kelso is learning from watching.....Saturday night, instead of draping himself over my stomach, he climbed all the way up to my face and flung himself over my neck, all 12kg of solid packed pup!

Talking Re: Does anyone elses kitten..

Yes! Both of mine do this! It's still cute as they're both under 4kg but I guess when they are fully grown it might be a bit more uncomfortable. Usually it's when I'm trying to watch telly.

One of them will jump onto the sofa, saunter up my legs, tummy and then "flop" onto my chest, purring loudly in my ear so I can't hear the telly. Or yawning really widely in my face (right after eating a fishy food, usually). Mm.

Re: Does anyone elses kitten..

Yes, Mitzi loves to do this....luckily now she is fully grown she has to admit that there is not enough space for her and compromises by keeping her bum on the sofa while her top half is draped across my chest and she can headbut me for kisses.

Re: Does anyone elses kitten..

My cats are grown up now but they still try to sit on my chest with their fur in my my face. I wouldn't mind so much but it's usually the fur on their backside. Pooh!

Re: Does anyone elses kitten..

Yep, Oscar does it too - usually with his bum right in my face. I think he likes to stop me reading or using the laptop as I'm not paying attention to him when I do those things!!!

Re: Does anyone elses kitten..

All 5.5 kgs of Bloo like to be on my face when I'm sleeping. The little ratbag listens to my breathing, taps my cheek a few times, gives me a few licks and then settles down on the side of my face, spilling across onto the pillow. Sometimes he even cuddles up so that one paw cups my cheek and kneeds it very very gently. He won't settle until he is blocking my mouth and both nostrils so that all air is filtered via him! This is all part of the routine to wake me up so he can have cuddles, whenever he wants them, all thorough the night...

I'm just grateful that his brother is content to cuddle a leg, and they've both stopped attacking my hair!
