Well she's here! All seems to be going well so far, we had a bit of hissing from Oscar (my baby - hissing - never heard him do that before) initally but he's now following her round and seems more curious than anything.

For her part, Gandalf (her name will absolutely be changing - I have the greatest respect for LOTR and Gandlaf himself but I'm NOT calling a pretty girl-cat that!) is incredibly confident - she's marching round the house, been playing with toys already (she's been here half an hour) and seems to want to play with Oz. He's slightly less sure but I don't think it will be long.

Just Harry to introduce her to now, I think that we'll take a few days to do that. We are booked into the vets tomorrow (both of them), I know it's soon after getting her but I thik she'll cope, she doesn't seem fazed at all.

How about something like Kasumi/ Kaz or Sumi for short? Japanese for 'mist'

My sister gave me that one as her cats wouldn't use it - mine both love it (it's about the only cat bed apart from the cat tree ones that they do like tbh), they use the scratching surface and the bed and the mouse toy - so I bought another! Am poss thinking about a third now we have Gandalf (if she likes them) but it will have to wait as I need to pay for spaying/neutering first.
